Jeanne Lanvin, founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, is one of France’s oldest fashion brands. Originating from a hat shop in Faubourg Saint-Honoré, the brand expanded its range from children’s clothing to women’s dresses and eventually ventured into ladieswear.
Quickly adopting Eastern-inspired silhouettes and ethnic details, the brand crafted an elegant style, drawing inspiration from classical art and paintings, and by the 1920s, had grown into a quintessential Parisian brand.
Following Jeanne Lanvin’s retirement, the Maison’s legacy has continued to be shaped by designers who epitomize each era.
